Hi folks,
Today our LinkScanner users started detecting rogue spyware attacks that seemed to be originating from Facebook. The first profile that we looked at looked like this … (click image to enlarge)
And then the next one that we looked at looked like this …
Goodness … it looks like Emily Bennett has an identical twin sister called Emily Wood. Fancy that! And when we looked at the next profile, we saw this …
They are identical triplets! What are the odds? And fancy them having different names… they must have been adopted out at birth.
Or just possibly, something underhanded is at work. I wonder what happens if we view her video? This is what we see …
Hmmm … we've seen that before, and sure enough, the next screen looks like this …
We're seeing rather a lot of these, all from different profiles, but with the same picture and link. Clearly, the Data Snatchers have found a way to automate the creation of Facebook accounts, which means they've found a way to bypass the Facebook Capcha (the image of letters which are required for a new account, which are supposed to ensure that a human is involved).
I'm sure Facebook will deactivate all these accounts as quickly as they find them, but it can't be an easy thing for them to find.
Keep safe folks,
Roger

I never have Facebook and never will as I just have a bad feeling about how you have to give out your detail, you never know what could happen...

This is pretty amazing. I wonder what websites are going to come up with for security now that the capcha has been broken. Also, what use are all these extra sites to the hackers anyway?

I never thought something like this are happening. Just thankful my info on Facebook are not that specific, cuz somehow, I feel that in some ways, things over the net aren't that safe.
